The vision of Taglit-Birthright Israel is to strengthen Jewish identity, Jewish communities and solidarity with Israel by providing a 10-day trip to Israel for young Jewish people.
We have an obligation to expose [participants] as much as we can to our reality.
I saw Israel as a land of both harmony and contrast. My soul feels at home here.
Taglit-Birthright Israel gave me a chance to appreciate the beauty of Israel and learn about the traditions of our people.
I was impressed by what Israelis have accomplished, particularly Kibbutzim transforming the desert landscape into fertile plantations.
Judaism is much more comprehendible here. Israel brings it to life.
I found myself in Israel.
Taglit-Birthright Israel was born of a bold vision to make an educational trip to Israel an integralpart of the life of every young Jew, in an effort to generate a profound transformation incontemporary Jewish culture and a connection between Israelis and their peers in the Diaspora.
Over 400,000 participants from across the globe have visited Israel on a 10-day educational trip with their peers through Taglit-Birthright Israel. Most participants say that the trip was a “life-changing experience” that made them feel closer to Israel and to their Jewish heritage.
One of the primary objectives of our trips is to motivate participants to explore their Jewish identity through a peer educational experience of historic and contemporary Israel.
