When the first Taglit-Birthright Israel flight landed on January 4, 2000, it was all just an experiment. No one knew whether the initiative would succeed or what its impact would be. Thirteen years later, Birthright Israel has become the most popular program in the Jewish community and the quintessential rite of passage for young Jewish adults around the world.
