As one of Israel's national institutions, Keren Hayesod – United Israel Appeal (KH-UIA) is committed to investing in Israel as the homeland of the entire Jewish people. Working in close partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel, KH-UIA leaders and donors are committed to inspiring young Jewish adults all over the world to connect to Israel as their cultural homeland.

As a forerunner in connecting young Jewish adults to Israel and to Jewish life, Taglit-Birthright Israel is a vital part of KH-UIA objectives and spirit. For this reason, Taglit-Birthright Israel is a beneficiary of KH-UIA funding. KH-UIA leaders and donors represent campaign branches in five continents and more than 47 countries, and Taglit-Birthright Israel participants arrive in Israel every year from communities served by KH-UIA all around the world.
