Young Judaea – We do Israel and have since the very beginning!
With over 100 years of experience in organizing young adult programming – including 61 years of running Israel programs for young adults -- Young Judaea is truly a pioneer in the field of creating exciting Jewish and Israel experiences. As non-profit organization our sole focus is the participant and the fun, eye-opening and educationally intriguing experience you will enjoy in Israel.
Each Young Judaea trip draws upon the deep knowledge gained from running trips for young adults since Israel’s inception. With Young Judaea, you’ll see Israel beyond the headlines and experience the art and culture of modern Israel even as you learn about its ancient past. You will give something back by participating in a social action project and look to the future by delving into co-existence efforts. Your trip will include all the classic Israel experiences that you want such as Masada at sunrise, floating in the Dead Sea, camel trekking, rafting the Jordan River and sandy Mediterranean beaches. We go the extra mile to ensure you get to experience Jerusalem’s inspiring Old City and Western Wall in a special and meaningful way as well as spend a night ‘on the town’ in Israel’s ultra-modern Tel Aviv.
This summer, we are also running official Birthright Israel PLUS 14-day extended trips as well as program focusing on New Media in Israel.
Finally, our non-denominational approach ensures that everyone feels ‘at home’ on our trips, regardless of your Jewish background.
You only get one shot at your first time visit to Israel, so choose wisely! Why not pick the one organization that has been running Israel trips longer than any other?

Our Company/Organization
For nearly 100 years, Young Judaea has brought together thousands of Jewish youth from across the country and around the world, of every religious, cultural, and political persuasion, through a shared commitment to Jewish values, Jewish pride, and love of Israel.
With summer and year-round programs in both the US and Israel, from 3rd grade to college and beyond, Young Judaea is truly unique in its ability to offer a fun, safe, social environment that also includes a distinct focus on education, leadership, and social action.
The result: generation after generation of strong Jewish leaders who are empowered to truly make a difference in their communities, and in the world – while meeting other Jewish youth to build friendships that last a lifetime.
The Trip Staff Team
The North American staff that accompany Young Judaea’s Taglit-Birthright Israel trips are informal educators that bring a unique perspective to the experience. The majority of our staff have grown up in the Young Judaea family – a Zionist youth movement – and bring a ton of knowledge and love for Israel that they are excited to share with young adults experiencing Israel for the first time. The Israeli staff are a very important component of the trip as well. They include a licensed bus driver that ensures the group travels around the country safely; a certified medic/security guard who ensures that the group is safe and feels well; and a licensed tour guide who has been vetted by the Young Judaea staff in Israel. The tour guide is an integral part of the group as the leader, the educator, and new Israeli friend to all in the group.
