Welcome to Birthright Israel: Hillel! As the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, Hillel International offers the opportunity to travel throughout Israel with students from your own college or from across the country. In addition to traveling with your peers, you have your choice of travel dates, departure city and specialty trips. We have no doubt that by traveling with us you will have the time of your life on this free trip to Israel!
In addition to seeing the major sites of Israel – Masada, the Dead Sea, and the Western Wall – we’ll take you to amazing places you didn’t even know existed. You’ll ride a camel in the desert, go jeeping in the Golan, and sleep in Bedouin tents. All the while, you will be traveling with Israeli soldiers and getting a firsthand account of the real Israel.
While the weekdays will be packed, we focus on taking a break from the fast-paced regular itinerary on Shabbat. Celebrated pluralistically with Reform, Conservative and Orthodox options, we also offer non-prayer alternatives such as meditation, discussions and/or yoga. Beyond that, Shabbat is the special time where you will have the opportunity, if you would like, to celebrate becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah if you never had the chance.
Some of the best parts of traveling to Israel with Hillel International are our superior staff and ratings from Birthright Israel. We promise you won’t regret choosing us!
The Birthright Israel: Hillel Trips will connect Jewish students to their Jewish journey and identities, to Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people and, upon return, to their local Jewish communities. All Hillel trips will provide a variety of meaningful Jewish experiences for students from all Jewish backgrounds to explore their tradition. Hillel will focus on follow-through after the trip, enabling and empowering participants to continue examining their relationship with Israel and to the Jewish people both on campus and in their communities.
Hillel International provides opportunities for Jewish students at more than 500 colleges and universities to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through its global network of regional centers, campus Foundations and Hillel student organizations. Hillel is working to provoke a renaissance of Jewish life.
Hillel's mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Hillel student leaders, professionals and lay leaders are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially. Hillel helps students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by encouraging them to pursue tzedek (social justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world) and Jewish learning, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. Hillel is committed to excellence, innovation, accountability and results.
