Bay Area: Sonoma Wine Tour
Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco

sonoma wine tourThe 4th Annual Wine Tour is finally here and we couldn’t be more pumped! This is our signature event of the year and the highlight of our calendar.

We're touring two wineries and tasting more flights than you can handle! This full service experience includes transportation to and from San Francisco, a catered lunch, and an awesome gift.

This year's theme is "I Heard it Through the Grapevine - the Power of Words" so bring your best story - if it's good enough you might walk away with an extra special prize.

Buses load at 9:30 so be at Justin Herman Plaza at 8:30am to check in - arriving late is not an option! You must be 21+ so don't forget your ID.

At only $20 this event sells out almost immediately so hurry and RSVP today! You don’t want to miss this.

If you have any further questions or to cash in on the ticket you won at an event this year contact Rachel.thompson@birthrightisraelnext.org

Please read below for some FAQ's.

Q: What is this year’s theme?

A: “I Heard it Through the Grapevine, The Power of Words” ”  You will have the chance to play games,  share stories,  and maybe even learn something new!

Q: Where and when do we meet on Sunday?

A: Justin Herman Plaza near the Embarcadero BART station.  Look for blue and white balloons. It is wise to arrive early to secure parking and line up. (Line up begins at 8:30, registration is open from 8:45-9:30, we depart promptly at 10:00)

Q: So when do the buses leave?

A: The buses will depart at 10am.  If you are not checked in, in possession of your pass and lined up by 9:45 you WILL be left behind.

Q: Can I just meet you at the winery?

A: No. Registration closes at 9:30am. If you are not in possession of your pass and on our buses you WILL not be permitted to join our group.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Valid ID, water, and your best stories to share!

Q: When and how do I get my ticket(s)?

A: Registration/Will-Call/Check-In is split in alphabetical order by your last name. You will be permitted to line up at 8:30 and registration opens at 8:45am.

Q: My friend registered for me... What do I do?

A: Check with the person who signed up online. All parties are registered under the last name of the person who RSVP'd. Unless we have your name on our list or your friend's name(s) with a +1 you're not getting on the bus. If you included a +1 in your reservation you must line up with your +1. If you are the +1 you must line up with the person who purchased the tickets.  Seems complicated… but I assure you, it is not.

Q: What do I wear?

A: You are going wine tasting- probably best not to wear white... Otherwise, it should be a lovely (hot) day, dress however you feel comfortable.  Busses will be air conditioned so bring layers.

Q: What’s for lunch?

A: A delicious spread catered by Beautifull with plenty of Vegetarian options.

Q: The holidays are coming up, will I have a chance to buy gifts for people?

A: Yes!  You can purchase wine  (often at a discount) at the wineries and locally made olive oil and vinegar at Figone’s Olive Oil Co during lunch.

Q: Good things to know:

A: We will be capturing the tour on film. You may be approached for a comment, snapshot or to capture a candid moment. Pretend the camera doesn’t exist unless instructed otherwise.   If you would not like to be photographed, please contact us IN ADVANCE of this year’s wine tour.

Q: I have a friend who wants to come. Are there more tickets?

A: Our 2010 Sonoma Wine Tour is sold out. There are no more tickets available.  If your friend would like to get on the wait list, please email rachel.thompson@birthrightisraelnext.org

Q: Can my ticket-less friend show up in the morning in case there is a

no-show or cancellation?

A: Sure. But come knowing that your chance of becoming ticketed is very slim. Ticket price is $20 cash.

Q: If I have to cancel last minute can I get a refund?

A: No. Ticket sales are final.

Q: What if I call or email?  Can I get a refund?

A: Sorry, no.  All ticket sales are final.

Q: I want to volunteer to help at the wine tour, who should I contact?

A: Feel free to just show up bright and early at 8:15am at Justin Herman Plaza. There will be plenty of opportunities to help!
