Birthright Israel NEXT Releases Hebrew Learning iPhone App

If you slept through most of your Hebrew school years, or simply stayed home to imbibe in laugh-tracked episodes of Saved by the Bell, you might want to catch up on the tribal lingo. Going through a phrase book with a highlighter is not, well...all that compelling. But learning Hebrew just got a bit easier.

We've just launched Mila-4-Phone, a series of free mobile services allowing English speakers to learn a Hebrew word a day via iPhone app, and daily text messages. The tool is an easy way for anyone to build over a hundred essential new vocabulary words in a short amount of time.

For iPhone users, the Mila-4-Phone app is currently live on the Apple app store! Featuring a growing word list, pronunciation guides, audio recordings, and more, the app is an easy way to work on your Hebrew vocabulary.

For non-iPhone users, simply text HEBREW to 41411 to receive Hebrew words sent to your phone, daily. The first word on sms? “Mila” – the Hebrew word for ‘word.’

Mila-4-Phone is part of Birthright Israel NEXT’s educational program focused on Hebrew language learning.
