WHY ISRAEL OUTDOORS?
There is more than one Taglit-Birthright Israel trip because we all know that no two people come to Israel with the same hopes and dreams. Israel Outdoors is the single most popular Taglit-Birthright Israel trip organizer...and we have tens of thousands of alumni from the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, and the former Soviet Union who can tell you why Israel Outdoors is not just any trip.

So, why is Israel Outdoors special? The Israel Outdoors experience combines the perfect mix of informal education, an always enjoyable atmosphere, and a spirit of adventure. Here are some other reasons...

#1 / No Agenda
While some of the other Taglit-Birthright Israel trips are affiliated with a specific political or religious agenda (orthodox, conservative, etc.), the Israel Outdoors experience is totally neutral. We have no agenda, and our goal is only to share the magic of Israel with our participants.

#2 / Peer Staff
Each Taglit-Birthright Israel trip is staffed by an Israeli guide and two North American support staff. On an Israel Outdoors trip, we make sure that almost all of our staff are in their mid-20's or 30's. Why? Because we want our participants to connect with their trip staff on a personal level. Israel Outdoors has the best staff around, and you can look forward to making lasting friendships with your trip staff for years to come. Check out Israel Outdoors guide biographies for more details.

#3 / Informal Education
An Israel Outdoors trip is about having a truly enjoyable experience in Israel while learning about Israel's history, culture, and identity along the way. Philosophically, Israel Outdoors believes in informal education...or learning by doing, seeing, and feeling. We tent to avoid traditional classroom learning, seminars, etc.

#4 / The Beauty of the Land
As our name -- Israel Outdoors -- implies, we believe that the beauty of the land is Israel's single greatest treasure. All of our trips are unified by the same idea that we want to share with you the stunning and diverse nature of Israel's countryside. You can be sure that every Israel Outdoors trip will expose you to the vast canyons of the Judean desert, the green hills of the Galilee, and the picturesque beaches of the Mediterranean coast.

#5 / Multiple Trip Options
Israel Outdoors offers three main trip options (Israel Quest, Israel By Bike, and Israel By Foot) as well as a number of Special Group trips. There is something for everyone. Our most popular trip is Israel Quest which combines a little bit of everything and will give you the broadest taste of Israel. Israel By Bike and Israel By Foot are much more active and outdoorsy trips with extended hikes and bike rides. Learn more: What's the Difference?
