Birthright Israel Excel was created to develop a cadre of future Jewish leaders; to deepen the ties of participants to the State of Israel; and to foster the development of a think tank of innovative ideas with collaboration between international and Israeli companies.
As students return from their internships in Israel, they become part of the Birthright Israel Excel Leadership Network. As part of this network, the participants convene for an annual retreat where they meet with prominent business leaders, politicians and leadership educators.
Israeli students can apply to be a part of the Birthright Israel Excel program as an "Israeli Peer". This is an exclusive opportunity to meet with leaders in the Israeli business world and build one-on-one connections with your peers from abroad.
Combining my love of Israel and Jewish people with my love for business and entrepreneurship truly made this summer one that I will never forget
I embarked upon this journey with the intention of strengthening my personal identity as a Jew, a leader and future businessman
Working in a professional setting in Israel helped me to understand and develop my strengths as an aspiring professional
The work experience I gained, the people I met, the connections I made, and the amazing time I had touring Israel was an invaluable experience
The program's strength lies in its ability to combine professional content with social opportunities: a winning combination which united us as a group.
The task is set before us, the leaders of tomorrow... to use our power to improve humanity
I knew that Excel would provide me with invaluable work experience, but I did not expect to create so many life-long friendships with Israelis and Americans
I sat in on a dozen pitches by startup companies, and not only learned about industry trends, but also picked the brains of venture capitalists
